Chin augmentation is a surgical procedure that can improve one’s appearance by altering the contour of the face. The procedure is designed to add size or to move forward a receding or “weak” chin. Chin contouring is often done in conjunction with other facial procedures (liposuction, facelift, nose surgery). Chin advancement (genioplasty) gives a strong chin and balance to the face.

Candidates for chin augmentation:

  • A recessed chin not being caused by dental/jaw problems
  • An unbalanced appearance of the lower part of the face

After Surgery

You will have some swelling and bruising in the chin and neck area for one week after procedure.  A bandage will be placed over the chin area and remain for five days after the procedure.
